Vanicream Moisturizing Cream
Updated Nov 8, 2026 · Top Face Creams
Best for Reactive, very dry skin that needs a bland night cream with nothing extra in the jar.
A short-formula cream for skin that reacts to almost everything else. Vanicream lists petrolatum, glycerin, and emulsifiers, and no fragrance, botanicals, or essential oils. The brand says it is non-comedogenic and carries the National Eczema Association seal. It does not contain the ceramides in CeraVe or La Roche-Posay, so it seals water in rather than replacing barrier lipids. Wirecutter's moisturizer test picked Vanicream Daily Facial, which is a different, lighter product. This pump cream is the heavy one. People use it at night on very dry skin and find it greasy under makeup.
