CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30
Updated Nov 8, 2026 · Top Face sunscreens
Best for A short morning routine when you will apply it thickly, not as your only sun protection at the beach.
CeraVe's morning face lotion with SPF 30, ceramides, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid. It is fragrance-free and meant to replace a separate moisturizer. The SPF is the weak point. People put on a pea-size amount, and that is not the amount the SPF test uses. Consumer Reports' 2026 program found most tested sunscreens missed their labeled SPF. This lotion is fine for a day at a desk if the coat is generous. It is not the sunscreen to take to the pool. EltaMD UV Clear or a dedicated SPF 50 is the better outdoor bottle.
